Experienced in 'reading' kids…so kids experience
the joy of reading!
"Free the child's potential and you will transform him in the world."
Maria Montessori
The Discovery of the Child
I know tutoring can feel overwhelming — so I've made my process simple, supportive, and centered entirely on your child. Here's how I hope to engage, educate, and empower the student to read freely:
"Dyslexia is a different brain organization that needs different teaching methods. It is never the fault of the child but rather the responsibility of us who teach to find methods that work for that child."
Dr. Maryann Wolf
Education Researcher and Dyslexia Advocate
I'm a certified AMS (American Montessori Society) Montessori Teacher and Substitute Teacher, who is also Tier 2 Reading Interventionist trained in the Barton Reading and Spelling Program.
My experience is in the subject content area of Literacy and teaching K-6 English Language Learners (ELL) and students who have been diagnosed with dyslexia. I meet students where they are at — with empathy, curiosity, and no judgment.
Whether your child has been told they can't read, won't read, or don't read — or is too anxious, embarrassed, discouraged, disinterested, or scared to try to read (and especially out loud), their voice matters, and we're here to help them because we believe they CAN read and WILL read, even one story at a time!
Because tutoring feels different when the child truly feels seen and heard.
At Telepak Tutoring, we do more than offer services — we create space. Space to belong, space to become, space to believe. Your child belongs in books, can become a reader, and will believe in themself. Our approach blends evidence-based care with deep compassion, so you never feel like just another client.
